The annual "Rust Remover" hosted by the Northwest Territories Floatplane Association/COPA Flight 108 will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Private pilots won’t want to miss this seminar since participation qualifies as the recurrent training requirement.
Program details are still being arranged. Final program details will be distributed in the near future. The seminar is free for NWTFA/COPA 108 members. The fee for non-members is $35. Memberships will be available at the door. Pre-registration is required for this seminar. For further information, see the Rust Remover notice or contact Hal Logsdon at 873-5569.
There will be a special meeting of the Northwest Territories Floatplane Association tomorrow, Friday, April 22, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Ahmic Air board room. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss our positions on the idea of licensing of private docks for resident floatplanes and on the location and use of the floatplane docks owned by the City of Yellowknife. All members having an interest in floatplane parking are encouraged to attend so that we can formulate a final consensus position to discuss with City council.
